All about babies! We have our playgroup for parents with babies ages 0 – 2 years. Come in, have a snack, play with and get to know the other parents and babies in the community. Public Health Nurses will join our Baby Basics from 10-11am on August 9th.
Come and get your baby weighed and measured, they are also available for other concerns and questions.
Does your child need a haircut before the beginning of the school year? Marvin and his team at Ascension are doing cuts for us!

Breakfast Bags is a food security program to help families with the rising cost of groceries.
Bags will be available to pick up every Monday afternoon.

Blue Nile Massage & Wellness is coming into our space to learn about the community’s health needs and challenges from the people themselves and put together an initiative that is going to focus on our community needs.

Stress is a part of everyday life. Having a toolkit to handle stress can help us feel capable of handling new stressful situations as they come up.
Join us and Community Health Teams for this session and learn skills to deal with stress, and practical techniques such as exploring your values, staying present, and relaxation.
A 3-day daytime camp to help parents with childcare during the week of march break. Lunch and snack included. Crafts, cooking, games and field trips are all activities we do during March

New Start Dad’s Group is informal peer support for fathers and father figures. This group is led by facilitators to support African Nova Scotian families. Topics may include communication, relationships, parenting skills and more!

Parenting Journey is a program to promote the well being and development of children ages 0 - 18 and their families through home visiting.
Parenting Journey can support you in the following ways and be there through the whole process:
- Assist with family demands where guidance and support are needed.
- Help families navigate systems, including child protection and to provide outside resources.
- Build on each family's strengths and knowledge to better align with desired outcomes for the future.
- If applicable, clarify transition requirements ordered by Child Protection Services.
- Understand behaviours and provide suggestions to strengthen family bonds.
- Accompany families to court appearances, medical appointments, and other support services.
